On April 30, 2014, Adam Banks was arrested on a misdemeanor charge for breaking a window and taken to the Butler County Jail. He never made it out alive.
On May 1, 2014, Adam was declared dead by suicide.
Since Adam’s death evidence has come out that contradicts the suicide ruling. The medical examiner changed the cause of death from suicide to undetermined. Seven years later, no additional investigations have occurred.
Witnesses, who have now gone silent in fear, said that Adam was beaten by correctional officers in the jail. Adam’s death is one of at least nine suspicious deaths in the Butler County Jail since 2012.
Adam’s family wants to see justice for his death and to make sure no more families suffer like this.
